In April 2014 the UB Songdo Hospital established a strategic alliance and partnership with Bumrungrad International Hospital, which is closely collaborating with us to bring the hospital medical services and management to the new international standards. With this development UB Songdo obtained the possibility to expand its services and operations based on the resources of one of the leading private Hospital System in Asia.
Bumrungrad International Hospital is an internationally accredited, multi-specialty hospital located in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. Founded in 1980, today it is the largest private hospital in Southeast Asia, with over 1300 doctors, 4800 employees, over 50 specialty centers and 580 beds. Bumrungrad offers state-of-the-art diagnostic, therapeutic and intensive care facilities in a one-stop medical center.
Bumrungrad Hospital is the first private hospital in Asia to be accredited by an international Accreditation organization such as JCI. In addition to the United States, it is one of the world’s leaders in medical tourism, serving more than 1.1 million international patients annually. Patient flow from Mongolia to Bumrungrad Hospital has been steadily increasing over years. Bumrungrad International Hospital became knowledgeable about the unique health care needs of Mongolian patients, treating each year many Mongolian patients.
UB Songdo patients benefit from the partnership with Bumrungrad in four important ways:
  • UB Songdo doctors and nurses visited Bumrungrad to be trained and learn the best practices, this process continues further.

  • Bumrungrad doctors, nurses and administrators collaborate with UB Songdo to advise and improve its service and operations.

  • Top Bumrungrad specialists visit UB Songdo to assist in both public health and professional medical education in Mongolia.

  • Bumrungrad’s referral office at UB Songdo works with UB Songdo doctors to coordinate the referral of difficult cases to Bumrungrad International Hospital.
